Cape of Good Hope
Distance approx. 87 km / 1 h 45 min
An incomparable experience awaits you at Cape of Good Hope located on the south western Cape of South Africa. Flora and Fauna is protected in a national park. When you pass the entrance into the national park you see the plants and flowers surviving in a rough climate. The strong wind which let you not feel the heat in the summer so much, allows strong plants only to survive. A unique scenery is shown to you when you walk down the paths to the Cape. Stony paths lead you to the rock face where hundres of years ago ships tried to sail around with huge efforts only. You can reach the Cape by foot or easier by car on the street that leads directly to the Cape.
Monkeys and Ostriches will pass your way. These animals are running around without any fences. Please be careful as these are wild animals, very curious about all they can reach. Snapping glasses, hats or cameras.
Do not mix the Cape of Good Hope with the Most Southern Point of Africa. This one is located 250 km more in the South East, the Cape Agulhas.
